Wales Book of the Year People’s Choice Award 2016

Once again Wales Arts Review is very pleased to host and sponsor the Wales Book of the Year People’s Choice Award 2016, in partnership with Literature Wales. The shortlisted titles are spread across three separate categories, The Roland Mathias Award for poetry, The Rhys Davies Prize for fiction, and the Open University in Wales Prize for non-fiction, with three books selected in each. The People’s Choice Award is given to the book with the largest number of public votes across all three categories, and will be presented to the winning author at the official ceremony on July 21st at the Redhouse Arts Centre in Merthyr Tydfil.

To vote for your favourite book of the year on the list, click next to the title of your choice and then click VOTE. There is one vote per person. The voting form is active until midnight on June 30th.

During the Award Ceremony, the winner of each category will receive a prize of £1,000, and the overall winner in each language will be awarded a further £3,000. Each winner will also receive a specially commissioned trophy created by the artist Angharad Pearce Jones.

The Wales Book of the Year Award Ceremony is open to the public. Tickets cost £5 and can be purchased by contacting Literature Wales: 029 2047 2266
