A Fiction Map of Wales

Critics’ Roundtable 2014: ‘A Fiction Map of Wales’

On November 1st 2014 Wales Arts Review launched its first book, an anthology of new short Welsh fiction from the brightest lights on the literary scene. Over the past two years, Wales Arts Review (in association with the Rhys Davies Trust) has published a brand new story each month, the only criteria being that the work be by a Welsh or Wales-based author and that it be set in Wales. A Fiction Map of Wales collects all twenty-one of these pieces together, and as it does so it reveals an intriguing, fairground-mirror-like portrait of 21st Century Wales.

Here our Fiction Editor John Lavin introduces readings from three of the A Fiction Map of Wales contributors, Kate Hamer, Cynan Jones and Robert Minhinnick.

You can purchase a copy of the book here.
