Literature on the Lawn. returns to the beautiful setting of Caerleon’s historic Priory Hotel. Dylan Moore, Culture Editor of The Wales Agenda, the magazine of the Institute of Welsh Affairs will host a day of readings and literary discussion exploring the concept of Borderlands.
2015 Thwaites Wainwright Award winner John Lewis Stempel opens proceedings by reading from and discussing his winning title, Meadowlands.
English born, Welsh published authors Tiffany Murray and Tom Anderson discuss writing across borders.
In the afternoon theatre-maker John Norton discusses his groundbreaking production, Borderlands, possibly the first production to straddle the Severn Estuary.
Looking further a field Colin Thomas, explores the Welsh in north America, Nia Davies and Jon Gower, Y Wladfa, the Welsh settlement in Patagonia whilst Dr. Jenni Williams and Dylan Moore will discuss campaigning for literary freedom in Mexico with PEN Cymru.
