Welsh Visual Arts – The Best of 2018

Art lovers have been spoiled this year with what has been on offer at the galleries across Wales, and it has not been a easy task for the writers at Wales Arts Review to pick the top ten visual arts exhibitions of 2018. The breadth of work shows just what a strong year it has been, but these ten were way we believed marked the highpoints.

Peregrinations – Peter Davies (school of Art Gallery, Aberystwyth)

Sir Gawain and the Green Knight – Clive Hicks Jenkins (Martin Tinney Gallery, Cardiff)

Behind the Frame – Kyffin Williams (National Library, Aberystwyth)

Roger Cecil + 4 Contemporary Painters (Oriel Myrddin, Carmarthen)

This Inconstant State – Shani Rhys James (Cannaught Brown, London)

Nesa Peth I Ddim – Elfyn Lewis (Plas-Glyn-Y-Weddw, Pwllheli)
