Graham The Bear Celebrates 50 Years of Hip Hop

To celebrate 50 years of Hip Hop, we asked Goldie Lookin’ Chain’s Graham The Bear to compile a playlist of the Hip Hop songs that define the genre.

This year marks 50 years since the birth of Hip Hop and to mark the occasion Wales Arts Review is delighted to present a selection of Hip Hop tracks released between 1973 and the present day, compiled by Graham The Bear. From The Notorious B.I.G, to 2Pac, to Lady Leshurr, it’s a playlist which celebrates the variety and history of a genre which continues to provide some of the music scene’s most exciting new sounds.

So crank up the volume, sit back and enjoy a selection of music which has not only challenged and entertained, but offered a political and social commentary on the last 50 years.

You can find out more about the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop on the celebration organiser’s dedicated website.
