Seren Books, which publishes many prominent Welsh authors, welcomes new joint editors of their poetry list in Rhian Edwards and Zoë Brigley.
Seren Books this week welcomes new joint editors of their poetry list in Rhian Edwards and Zoë Brigley, who will take over from the Bridgend-based publisher’s longstanding Poetry Editor Amy Wack. Both come with strong CVs to one of the most respected poetry publishers in the country. Edwards won the “triple crown” at Wales Book of the Year in 2013 for her collection Clueless Dogs, awarded the Roland Mathias Poetry Prize, the Wales Arts Review People’s Choice Award, and the main prize for overall English language book of the year. Zoë Brigley has published three PBS recommended collection with Bloodaxe and earlier this year became editor of Poetry Wales.
On taking up the position, Edwards and Brigley said: “In the poetry publishing world, editorships are still mainly dominated by men. We are really glad to be continuing the tradition at Seren of offering a different perspective, publishing the best poetry from Wales and the rest of the UK. We are really looking forward to working with debut authors as well as championing the brilliant Seren poets already on our lists.”
